NUN OF THAT features such New England-based actors as SARAH NICKLIN, ALEXANDRA CIPOLLA, SHANETTE WILSON, RUTH SULLIVAN, BRANDON LUIS APONTE, MICHAEL REED, RICH TRETHEWAY, DAVID LAVALLEE, JR, SARAH LEWIS, NOLAN KERR, ANDRE BOUDREAU, DANIEL LEE WHITE, RICARDO REBELO, JASON MCCORMICK, ALEX APONTE, DAVID ERIN WILSON, LUIS APONTE and special guest stars DEBBIE ROCHON and LLOYD KAUFMAN as the Pope!

NUN OF THAT is 91 minutes and is UNRATED but contains NUN NUDITY, NUN PROFANITY and, most of all, NUN VIOLENCE!

Nun of That is an action-comedy that follows Sister Kelly Wrath (Sarah Nicklin) as she transforms from a nun with a habit of flying off the handle to a vengeful killer. After being gunned down in an alley, she ascends to heaven to receive training from some of the great figures of religious mythology (Moses, Gandhi, and Jesus himself). She is then set back to Earth to join the other members of the Order of the Black Habit, a group of supernatural vigilante nuns as they seek revenge against the mob. It's a hilarious ride that will keep you laughing from beginning till end.

Camera Ops Needed

From Rod Webber:

I'm looking for camera operators ASAP.

I think everyone on this list is at least somewhat acquainted with my
doc "A Man Among Giants."
Well, this past Wednesday, I discovered that the film's subject Doug
'Tiny' Tunstall had been sent to prison and subsequently committed to
a mental hospital in Rhode Island. His crime: Wanting to see his
daughter. He has once again requested that I document what transpires.

You can see the new stuff on my "Rod Webber" facebook page,
but facebook is the only place I will be posting for security reasons.
Go to www.amanamonggiants.com to see the 15 teaser for the original film.

If you're interested, I'll be shooting randomly as needed. Your own
HDV, HD or even standard def cam would help, but not necessary.
If needed, I will get you lunch and expenses, and in rare cases of
extreme urgency, I might be able to pay you-- but I'm basically
looking for adventure seekers who want a good story to tell...

Be warned... it's like being on a stake-out... lot's of downtime waiting
for that payoff, but when it does, it pays off big. Every second
counts in documentary! You will have some crazy stories to tell.

Beginners with proper
attitude welcome.

I'm also looking for a Rhode Island attorney who can help Tiny directly...
If you're wondering whether I've crossed the journalistic line by
making the lawyer request, the answer is yes... and I will be doing so
repeatedly, because some things are more important... Also, anyone in
the press who might be able to help.
We are planning a big event for the original in the very near future.

Thanks,
FREE TINY!

Call for Extras, Food, Wardrobe, Props: "Snowflake" teaser shoot, 4/25 in Worcester, MA

"SNOWFLAKE" TEAM SHOOTING TRAILER AT WORCESTER NIGHTCLUB

WORCESTER – The local team behind the upcoming feature film "Snowflake" will be generating interest in the production by shooting an advance "teaser" trailer at a Worcester nightclub on Saturday, April 25th.

The location for the two-day shoot is Worcester’s premier nightspot, Mansion House, situated above the Irish Times Pub at 244 Main Street. Formerly REHAB, which won "best nightclub" honors three years running, the club has been given a complete overhaul with a state-of-the-art vibe that immediately appealed to the film’s producers, Goldilocks Productions.

Among the local filmmakers behind "Snowflake" are producers Kristen Lucas and Amy Devlin of Goldilocks Productions, Dan Rosario of The Affected Program and owner of 256 Media, and music supervisor Keith "Klep" Napier. Katherine "Kat" Slatery, the accomplished break-dancer and actress playing the title role, will be flying up from her home base in Atlanta to film the trailer.

To fill Mansion House with actors and extras for the shoot, the filmmakers will be reaching out to local residents as well as the online film community via OurFilmSpace.com. The one-and-half-minute teaser will be used as part of a campaign promoting the project on the www.snowflake-movie.com website as well as virally on the Internet. Goldilocks Productions will debut the teaser trailer at a film festival this June in Miami.

As she did with previous Goldilocks productions such as the locally-produced short film "Third Date," Lucas is enlisting area businesses and investors interested in independent film and helping "Snowflake" come to the screen. In addition to the use of Mansion House, for example, Colonel Boothe, co-owner of Muncheez Pizza (www.muncheezpizzeria.com) in Tatnuck Square, is donating food for the cast and crew and the Boston fashion design company, Bless by Bless Couture (www.blessbybless.com), is donating wardrobe to the project that will be featured in the teaser trailer. The production is looking for support from other local businesses for food, wardrobe, props, and any other items that would come in handy over the two-day shoot.

For more information on "Snowflake" please contact the producer, Kristen Lucas, at kristen@snowflake-movie.com.

Call for Films: Past Boston 48 Entries for Boston Film Night

From KEVIN ANDERTON:
Hey BFN fans. I've designated four spots at Boston Film Night specifically to promote shorts made during the 48hr Film Project. So far I've gotten one entry. I'd rather not reassign those spots so I'm asking people who have made a 48hr film to submit them.

If you've made one in the last two years or know someone who has made one, the application to submit (Or to see more info) is at: www.bostonfilmnight.com.

Right now I'm restricting entries to the Boston 48hr project but that might change depending on the number of entries.

The films featured in the showcase will be from school and community media education programs statewide.

The focus of the event is media education, and each showcase film will be discussed with the youth filmmaker and professionals from the film industry. The event is free and open to the public. * As part of the educational process, potential entries should be pre-judged by students at the school or community organization in order to choose the three submitted. In the event that we have more submissions than we have time for, the attached rubrics will be used to select the final films for the Give Me Five showcase.

* Preference will be given to pieces 5 minutes or less in length. Consideration may be given to pieces up to 10 minutes in length MAXIMUM, time allowing.

* The artistic and technical work on the piece must be created and executed by the students in the applicant’s media education program.

* Pieces submitted should have been created within the last year as part of a Rhode Island media education program represented in the Media Education Network.

Every attempt will be made to showcase all three applicant entries. Every school or program that applies will have at least one film screened at the showcase. However, in the event that there are too many entries for the time and space allotted, a panel of youth and adult judges will select the final showcase films. The panel may also select entries for showing on the Cox TV program Rhode Island Film or PBS. The panel will be composed of youth and adult artists, educators, and other professionals, and the enclosed rubric will be used. We also reserve the right to eliminate any entry that does not meet the basic quality standards. We acknowledge the Shortie Festival for the use of their rubrics in creating our own.
