Festival submission invitation for films by teens

From SHOOT Teen Film Program:
SHOOT Teen Film Program is now accepting short film submissions for it's 'SHOOT Shorts' program premiering at the 2009 Newport International Film Festival 'SHOOT Shorts' Film Program, Sunday June 7th, 4PM Jane Pickens Theater Newport, RI.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS JUNE 1, 2009
We are looking for films under 10 minutes in length produced & edited by teen filmmakers. The films will be screened and chosen by current and past SHOOT participants and the winning films will be part of the 'SHOOT Shorts' Program at the 2009 Newport International Film Festival alongside current and past SHOOT films.To submit your film please adhere to the following requirements:1. Film must be no longer than 10 minutes in length2. Film must have been made entirely by teen filmmakers3. Submissions accepted on DVD or Mini-DV only. No other formats accepted.4. All submissions MUST be received no later than June 1, 20095. Please DO send copies of film, NOT original films. No films will be returned to sender.4. (Admission includes a free Luna bar, popcorn and a raffle ticket)

LUNAFEST, a national festival of films by, for or about women and sponsored by LUNA Bar, will return to screens nationwide for their eighth year. In addition to providing national exposure for emerging women filmmakers, LUNAFEST also supports one of the most important causes for women today by donating proceeds from the festival to the Breast Cancer Fund.

LUNAFEST's films have won industry awards and audience accolades, and the films selected for 2008-09 LUNAFEST share this brilliance. From quirky animation to touching documentaries, the 10 selected films are incredibly diverse in both style and subject matter, united by a common thread of exceptional storytelling by, for or about women.

The 1st Annual Online New England Film Festival, presented by NewEnglandFilm.com, will launch as an online showcase of selected films from September 1, 2009 through October 15, 2009. The Online New England Film Festival will showcase films under 30 minutes in the following categories: animation, children/family, comedy, documentary, and drama. The films will be selected by NewEnglandFilm.com staff and the festival's esteemed jury.

In addition, the festival has partnered with Women in Film Video New England (WIFVNE) who will jury the special category New England Women Above the Line for films under 30 minute produced, directed, or written by a woman or women based in New England.

$20 Early Deadline: April 1, 2009
$25 Regular Deadline: May 15, 2009
$30 Late Deadline: June 1, 2009
$50 Extended (Withoutabox only): June 15, 2009
Note: $5 discount for students with a photocopy of a valid ID and Withoutabox member plans.
