Matthew Davies Thesis Film

STUDENT FILM - please contact Matthew directly

Schedule: Shooting will be taking place in the first two week of February. Please contact me at mdavies@g.risd.edu or at 970-690-2111. Thank you for your interest

Carl: lead, 20-24: Carl is the killer's boyfriend and final victim. He is a scruffy, slightly beefy bohemian who genuinely loves painting and is always willing to have an adventure. He is laid back yet intelligent.

Detective Joe Bello: 40-60, male, white, supporting. Joe Bello is competent, intelligent, and has been a homicide detective for too long to care too much about the cases, but he still gets satisfaction from concluding them. He does his job well, but his personal sense of righteousness has long been lost.

Detective Andy Smith: 30-50, male, black, supporting. Andy loves detective work, but more as a puzzle to solve rather than a moral problem. He doesn't talk much, but is an imposing presence and is always thinking a few steps ahead in his silence.

Jamie Duvall: 40-60, male or female, supporting. Mr. Duvall is a very good teacher, but a little lenient in terms of fostering his kids' personal "artistic visions." He believes anything can be art, as long as it is well made and thought out.

Trucker: 40-60, male, supporting. He is a lonely, meth and alcohol addled man, and when he sees Emma at an empty gas station in the middle of nowhere he can't help himself. Little does he know what he is letting himself in for.

Latest on the 70's Horror Epic, "The Disco Exorcist"

This comes from Tony Nunes:
January, 21, 2011 (Providence, RI) – Scorpio Film Releasing presents the poster for their newest film, THE DISCO EXORCIST. The poster is a beautiful piece of work by artist Stephen Romano, the visual genius behind the Shock Festival book and DVD, among the original posters for Scorpio Film Releasing’s past films NUN OF THAT and BEYOND THE DUNWICH HORROR.

THE DISCO EXORCIST, a 70’s horror epic full of boogie, blood, and boobs, stars Michael Reed, Sarah Nicklin, Ruth Sullivan, Brandon Luis Aponte, Rich Tretheway, Gio Castellano, and Babette Bombshell as "Bernie Munghat". THE DISCO EXORCIST was directed by Richard Griffin, produced by Ted Marr, written by Tony Nunes and photographed by Jill Poisson.

THE DISCO EXORCIST will have its world premiere at the beautiful Cable Car Cinema and Cafe in Providence Rhode Island on February 12th at 11pm. Tickets will be $9.00 at the door. Why so late you might ask? Well, THE DISCO EXORCIST is a film of a HIGHLY adult nature... and due to shocking scenes of sex, violence and nudity nobody, we mean NOBODY under 18 will be admitted into the theater!

For more information or to preorder tickets, visit the Scorpio Film Releasing website at www.scorpiofilmreleasing.net. For more info on artist Stephen Romano, visit his website at http://stephenromanoshockfestival.com.

Seeking 23-30 Year Old Actress

Award winning filmmakers Mike Messier and Tim Labonte seek a 23 - 30 year old actress for a character named BLOOD. We need an actress who can play morbid, sexy, intelligent, and depressed. This could be interpreted as "a broken doll", perhaps with borderline personality disorder, although that character trait is more subtext and not fully illustrated in the script. We need an actress who is hard working, dedicated and easy to work with. This is a dialogue heavy piece and BLOOD is a leading role. This is a hard role to cast and we need the right actress! No nudity or violence. Sporadic table reads until March, increased rehearsals and shooting from mid- March until early April. Please email headshots/resumes/references to bloodsugarsidace@gmail.com for consideration.
