Newport the Series
A story about The Newport Series was on Channel 10 yesterday: Here's the link, thanks to Ellen Becker-Gray: http://www2.turnto10.com/news/local/gene_around_town Each episode of Tom Erb's innovative new series is created around one of artist William Heydt's paintings. For example, the episode with the women in the lingerie shop is an actual store in Newport that once served as a front for a safe house helping abused women. Many of you may know RIFC member Jeff DeBarros from his involvement in local productions, the Writing, Acting and Documentary groups and many of our Networking meetings. It is with great sorrow that we recently received word of his passing. Jeff was an enthusiastic contributor to the local film community and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends.
