There is a $2,000 grand cash prize, over 30 awards to hand out and Steve Feinburg is even going to be one of the official judges, so there will be a lot of excitement with this.
The New England Talent Awards is modeled after the MTV VMA's and the Grammy's on a New England level with a $2,000 grand prize. Are you one of the best Models, Singers, Dancers, or Actors in New England? Past winner have advanced to be seen on MTV, ESPN, HBO, VS, FOX, PAX, FHM, Razor, Giant, and CW.
The New England Talent Awards is the largest region-wide event that honors the best models, singers, dancers, actors, and producers in the New England Area. This highly anticipated competition awards over 30 different trophies to very deserving talent, and presents one talented individual a $2,000 cash prize and the title of New England Talent of the Year. Steven Feinburg, RI Film Commissioner will be one of the special judges.
This year, the 4th Annual New England Talent Awards will be held at the historic Columbus Theater in Providence, RI on February 28, 2009. Over 500 contestants are expected to audition in Hartford, Providence, and Boston on the last week in January with the hopes of being one of the lucky 150 to actually participate in the competition. Last year's event saw an audience of over 1,300 people, and this year is expected to exceed this number.

There is not a registration fee for this event, however with this being the top talent in all of New England, each casted nominee is required to draw a minimum following of 10 people for the actual competition.
There are 5 categories of Awards - Modeling, Singing, Dancing, Acting, Producing in which all Divisional Awards are listed under (please see full Award titles below). During the auditions, nominees will be casted for a particular Divisional Award. 5 Judges will be selected to judge on Talent, Marketability, and Crowd Reaction. The Nominee with the highest score in a Division will win that Trophy. Judges will then vote on 1 Division Winner in Each of the Category to crown the New England Model of the Year, Singer of the Year, Dancer of the Year, Actor of the Year, and Producer of the Year. Finally, the judges will then vote on one category winner to be crowned the Official New England Talent of the Year who will then win a $2,000 cash prize.

The New England Talent Awards is produced by Giovanni Calise from the Giovnni Fashion Concert and the SPOTLIGHT Reality Series.
