Featuring Films By:

Film & Video Fellowship Winner Kendall Moore - Moore is a professor of Journalism and Film Media at the University of Rhode Island. She has been a field producer and reporter for ABC News/Discovery Health, PBS, and Reuters and she is the recipient of two Fulbright Scholarships. Her documentary films have explored a range of topics including: the cross-cultural factors that expose women of African descent to the HIV/AIDS virus, the issue of sovereignty for Rhode Island’s Narragansett Indian tribe, and the cultural significance of hair in the black community.

Film & Video Fellowship Merit Award Winners Matt Brinkman & Xander Marro - Matt Brinkman & Xander Marro are Providence based artists who create prints, music, sculptures, installations, puppets, movies, and movies-starring-puppets, together and on their own. Their most recent collaboration is a single-frame film barrage of DIY living quarters, puppeteer frontiers, too many cats, silkscreen explosions, portable cookstoves, zine libraries, drum kits, and more - all to the discordant squall of their manic sonar hearts.

New Genres Fellowship Merit Award Winner Ju-Pong Lin - Laundry, neighborhoods, and the mundane stuff of human existence move from periphery to center in Ju-Pong Lin’s participatory performances. She figuratively and literally knits together communities through extraordinary stories of ordinary people. She also parents two children and teaches Interdisciplinary Art at Goddard College.
