Local RI Documentary Filmmaker Rocco Michaluk wins PBS Independent Lens Online Film Festival for 'Translate' a documentary film about the New England Transgendered Community. Are you a male or female? For members of the New England Transgendered community the answer is often complex.
The film was shot entirely in Rhode Island and was funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities, Rhode Island Council For the Humanities and Rhode Island PBS.
