team nazo sweeps the olympics
If you've tuned into the 2010 Winter Olympics, you may have already caught a glimpse of the inimitable Big Nazo puppet troupe cavorting on the streets of Vancouver. And if you were also at RIFC's annual Black and White Holiday Fundraiser, you may have recognized these creatures from the dancefloor.
Backed by a carnival band, artistic director Erminio Pinque and five other core members of team Nazo are leading nightly parades to signal the start of arts festivities in Place de la Francophonie 2010, a French Quarter in the heart of the city.
