Conquering Cold Reads: Using Yoga Breathing Techniques for Auditions

And get a monologue for your reel.
For beginner or experienced actors, the opportunity to work in films locally has grown tremendously with generous Tax Incentives in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. But the audition process can be nerve wracking.
But you can conquer these barriers with a few simple techniques. Proper breathing can dramatically reduce emotional and nervous anxiety.
Local actor, writer and director Skip Shea gives auditioning tips along with Yoga Breathing exercises to help calm you and keep you in the moment – the most important aspect to acting.
During the class you will get the opportunity to practice auditioning in front of a camera, learn how to break down the script and most importantly, how to breathe!
Class will be held at The Enchanted Fox, 174 Main Street, Medway, MA 02053-1570
Sunday January 31st from 1 to 6 PM with a break for lunch $60 per person and your final monologue will be taped and transferred to DVD for your reel.
Space is limited. Call (508) 533-4440 to reserve your spot.
(This is not an RIFC event!)
