Steven Feinberg, Executive Director of the RI Film & TV Office, is pleased to announce that the independently produced MISTAKEN IDENTITY will begin principal photography in Wickford, East Providence and Cranston in October 2009.

Executive Director Feinberg said, "We are excited to have this independent comedy anchored here in our Ocean State. Sydney-born Director Kenn Macrae is an exceptional talent and was previously the winner of Project Greenlight Australia. Our unique locations offer Kenn and his team an opportunity to best tell this funny love story. Most importantly, MISTAKEN IDENTITY will directly provide good paying jobs for over 150 full-time workers plus a variety of indirect jobs, such as those folks working in hotels and local businesses. This is exactly the type of economic activity our State desperately needs and, thankfully, this production will be here injecting money into Rhode Island's economy. I must also thank local Line Producer John Santilli for his efforts to help bring this special film home."

Tracie Thoms ("Rent"; "The Devil Wears Prada"), Joel David Moore ("Avatar") and RISD graduate Seth MacFarlane, creator of the animated series "The Family Guy" are slated to star. Kenn Macrae ("The View From Greenhaven") directs. Rhode Island native John Santilli is the Line Producer.

In this romantic comedy, MISTAKEN IDENTITY follows the exploits of a young man who is wrongly accused of being a notorious serial killer as he disastrously attempts to woo the girl of his dreams.
(This is not an RIFC Production)
