Artists' Exchange Special Event at Gallery Z in Providence

Artists' Exchange was selected to showcase our organization in the Public Art Window at Gallery Z, a window designed to increase awareness of an organization's mission through presence on bustling Atwells Avenue on Federal Hill in Providence. Artists' Exchange staff artist Shannon Casey created a painting to represent our programs in art, theater and music.

The window was installed on Thursday, August 6th and can be viewed for the remainder of the month.

Join us at Gallery Z
this Thursday, August 27th from 5-7pm
to celebrate this collaboration.

The event will include wine and refreshments, a pottery wheel throwing demonstration, photo slideshow, music from emerging artist Joey Z and an opportunity to purchase love buttons, the new addition to Artists' Exchange's Cheeky Kiwi pottery and jewelry line.

Gallery Z is located at 259 Atwells Avenue in Providence.

This weekend in the Black Box Theatre... Friday, August 28th- Saturday, August 29th ~ 7pm Beautiful Bodies

Written by Laura Shaine Cunningham and directed by Meg Doran, "Beautiful Bodies" is a thoughtful portrait of six female friends in their mid 30's who trade confidences and witty exchanges throughout a party to celebrate a friend's pregnancy from a one night love affair. Secrets surface and tensions flare - as the circle of friends reveal all, fight, and ultimately find comfort in a conversation. General reservations $10, $5 for students. For more information or to make a reservation, call 401.490.9475.
