Greenlight360.com Casting Call

Greenlight360.com, a start-up iTV Network based in Metro Boston, is putting out a casting call for its upcoming iTV series production.

Description:
The series is about returning veterans, who have difficulty reintegrating into society. A timely topic that touches upon real and present circumstances, often times misrepresented by the mainstream media, this series is an important piece that tells the of stories of many of our service men and women. This story is unlike any story that has been told before and is a balanced combination of drama and suspense, with hints of comedy and light-heartedness.

Talent Type:
Males and females between the ages of 20-30 to portray veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq tours. Body types range from very physically fit to mildly overweight.

Males of all age to portray veterans of all age appropriate wars and conflicts. Variety of looks and body-types.

Males between the ages of 30 to 50 to portray VA Veteran Counselors. All types.

Females between the ages of 20 to 50 to portray wives of veterans. All types.

Female between the ages of 40 to 50 to portray a VA secretary. This is a very specific type and the actor should be overweight and of short stature. Please do not try to audition for this role if you do not meet the body-type.

NOTES: We are looking for outstanding non-union actors with resumes, up-to-date head-shots and experience. I stress, come prepared to audition. You will be given time to review your sides, but it is requested, not required, that you create a short monologue, based on being one of the above mentioned characters, i.e. the vet, wife of a vet, VA counselor, etc. Use any personal experience you have with PTSD/veterans, or make one up: tell us how it affected you in your monologue, as if you‘re reliving the story. Keep the monologue to 1 page. Those who don’t create a monologue, will be given one.

We will also audition actual veterans, counselors for possible roles. These are for principal roles: you must be able to act and take direction very well.

Experience:
Some theater and/or film experience preferred

Audition Dates: Casting will take place between Sat. August 1st and Friday August 7th. For details, please register with our Head of Creative Development, Clark Sawyer at clark.sawyer@greenlight360.com

This IS NOT a paying gig, but we are looking for people who are interested in the importance and relevance of this script, are passionate about creating quality material and will therefore do this project on spec. Use this opportunity to add to your reel, network with others and develop a relationship with Greenlight360, "Changing Television One Show at a Time." This opportunity could lead to paid opportunities in the future.

If you are up to the challenge and interested, please email your headshot and resume, and if available, bio and video performances to Clark Sawyer, the Head of Creative Development at clark.sawyer@greenlight360.com.

Please bring 2 copies of your up-to-date headshot and resume to your audition. If you are a veteran, it is essential that you bring proper documentation proving that you have served for the United States military. No exceptions.
