27 DRESSES WINS 2008 PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD

The Rhode Island Film & TV Office is pleased to announce that 27 DRESSES, which was filmed almost entirely in Rhode Island utilizing local crew and talent, has received the 2008 People's Choice Award for Favorite Comedy.

27 DRESSES, starring Katherine Heigl and Ed Burns, featured such diverse locations as the Providence Animal Rescue League, XO Café and Mills Tavern on North Main Street, Hope Artiste Village in Pawtucket, Goddard Memorial State Park in Warwick and East Beach State Park in Charlestown.
