The early bird registration rate of $125 is only available through July 2, 2007. After July 2, 2007 registration will be $148 - and space is limited. Registration for the event is steady… last year we did fill up! Right now, we have 24 teams taking part. Here are the details:

Filmmakers across Providence will be competing July 27-29th in the 48 Hour Film Project's tour to find "The Best 48 Hour Film of 2007." Film teams will have just 48 hours to make a film - from writing and shooting to editing and adding music. The films will have their International Premier at the Columbus Theater just days later. (August 1 and August 2)

The 48 Hour Film Project is held in over 60 cities all across the globe. Providence films are eligible for city-based awards such as Audience Favorite, Best Cinematography and Best Acting. One team will be selected as the Providence winner and will go on to compete against teams from other cities.

The international winner of the 2007 48 Hour Film Project will take home a grand prize of $7,500! In addition, the Providence winner will be eligible to compete in the Panasonic/48HFP HD Showdown with a grand prize of a Panasonic HD Camera.
