The film will be a multi-year project following Carmen Castillo, room attendant at the Westin Hotel, who just won the Democratic Primary for Ward 9 of the Providence City Council. She is expected to win the general election on Nov. 29th. The goal is to document her journey and transition from making beds to making laws.
She is actively fundraising, but does not have any money as of yet. She needs a videographer who is willing to donate time and equipment to capture a few key moments that she doesn't want to lose: Election Night (Nov. 29th), Oath of Office (TBD), a few interviews that she wants to get done to capture the energy and outlook of key participants from the beginning. Also a soundperson will be needed. |
