The Pawtucket Film Festival Begins this Weekend

For additional information contact Emily Douglas at 401-489-8813 or thepff.com

For the next three weekends, the Pawtucket Film Festival will feature great music and movies, and a sneak peek into the film industry. On Saturday, August 28th, the doors open at 5:30, kicking off the 11th annual festival at Tolman High School. Beverages and light food will be provided throughout the festival, along with a tee-shirt, as part of the $10 admission fee.

On Saturday, don’t miss the music of Dennis Brennan, a cagey veteran who can electrify audiences with his ability to cross brilliantly from rock to soul, blues, country, and jazz. And later in the night, the Alloy Orchestra three man musical ensemble, will thrash and grind using a collection of peculiar objects to accompany the silent film classic, Metropolis.

Sunday’s location highlights the Blackstone Valley Visitor’s Center, where $10 will get a full day’s entertainment, including great music, film shorts, a feature film and discussions with the filmmakers.
