The film Highlander (1986) stars Christopher Lambert as an immortal sword-fighter named Connor McLeod and Sean Connery as his veteran mentor Ramirez who duel with Clancy Brown as The Evil Kurgan. Set against the back drop of mid 80's New York City, the original Highlander film launched a franchise of sequels, merchandise and a TV series. A 2010 remake is in the works.
