N. E. F. V. A. - (New England Film and Video Association), in part of their education series is offering a "Basics of Lighting for the DP, or Gaffer 101 Class" - June 27th from 4-7pm. Cost $35. Directions and location emailed with pre registration.
Description: This class is designed for the shooter who needs strong skills in the basics of lighting and wants to experiment with mixing levels and lights for different effects. The class will shoot a model in many short clips using different lighting techniques each time. The results are instantly viewable clips that can be compared side by side for discussion of the lighting effects. This class is also excellent for the gaffer who wants hands on experience with a variety of electric and grip equipment and moving towards shooting experience.
An advanced lighting techniques and theory class will be held later this summer.
