The Courthouse Center for the Arts will be hosting its third local independent filmmakers’ evening (LIFE) April 18TH 2009. If you have a completed short film (MUST be under 15 minutes in length) submit your film for consideration. Rhode Island residents, students, and former residents are all eligible to submit a film. Film entry submissions will be accepted now and through Thursday March 26th, 2009.
there will be a Grand prize award of $500, two $250 awards for the best films, and passes to the 2009 riiff (Rhode Island International Film Festival).
Submissions must be accompanied by the following information:
1) A DVD copy of your film – marked clearly with your name and film’s title.
2) Your name and contact information: address, phone and e-mail.
3) A 2 to 3 sentence synopsis of your film, film length, writer, producer, & actors’ names.
4) One paragraph on yourself including: current town of residence, hometown, approximate age (i.e. teens, 20’s, 80’s etc,) what you are currently involved in work-wise, school-wise, or life-wise.
5) Confirmation you will be available on the festival film evening (Sat. April 18th 2009.)
6) A still image from your film, e-mailed to: jdonaghue@courthousearts.org – put “CCA LIFE film ” in subject line.
7) Entry submission fee per film: $20. Checks may be made out to CCA, or Courthouse Center for the Arts.
