"The Grateful Undead Shows September 18 at the Local 121 Speakeasy

"The Grateful Undead," a local independently-produced feature film, will be shown at the Local 121 Speakeasy located at 121 Washington Street in downtown Providence on Thursday, September 18th as part of their ongoing film screening series.

Set in the early 90's, "The Grateful Undead" depicts the misadventures of two immortal countercultural figures as they reappear on the scene of the Generation X explosion. This ambitious amateur production boasts a bevy of familiar Rhode Island faces and locations and an eclectic soundtrack by forgotten local cult bands Nefarious and The New Federal Hillbillies.

Admission to the event is $5. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the directors will be available afterward to answer questions. Come help support local filmmaking and maybe learn a thing or two about making your own movie.
