Casting Call for Two New RIFC Affiliated Films

LTJ Films is casting for two new short films by award winning screenwriter Gene Doucette and directed by award winning screenwriter and director Jenn Dlugos. These films, "Print Error" and "Surviving Hector" will be shot in January and the Spring of 2008. Much of the rehearsal and preproduction for these films will be happening over the next two months.

The casting session for these films will be November 27th from 4:30pm to 8pm at The Artists’ Exchange, 50 Rolfe Square, Cranston, RI.

Please bring your headshot and résumé or a picture of yourself, prepare a two minute dramatic monologue, and be prepared to read from some provided material. This audition is open to both Union and Non-Union actors. These will be volunteer/SAG deferred projects. Please see the character descriptions for both films below and come knowing which role you are interested in.

Mish (Teenager 16 to 20){Must Actually be 18+}: Mish is a bubble-gum pop girl and the ultimate scream queen. Naive and easily scared, this character must be able to show the progression from calm to massively frightened.

Jenna (Teenager 16 to 20): Jenna is Mish’s best friend. Another bubble-gum pop girl. She is also very naive.

Billy (Teenage 16 to 20): A teenage boy who just likes messing with people. A good knowledge of computers.

Tom (Teenager 16 to 20): Billy’s buddy along for the ride.

Surviving Hector:

Arianna (Woman 25 to 35) This is a very challenging and difficult role. Arianna is a business woman by day and caring wife by night. She awakes to find Hector pointing a gun at her head. She is afraid but becomes smart and resourceful. She is a powerful woman and a dynamic character. Picture an Angelina Jolie or Halle Berry.

Hector (Male 25 to 45) This is a very challenging and difficult role. Hector is a poetic and disturbed hit man who takes far too much pleasure in his work. He loves being smarter than his victims and letting them know it before he kills them. He needs some information from Arianna and he is determined to get it. Picture John Malkovich’s style of acting.

Aloysius (Male 25 to 45) Arianna’s husband who spends a majority of the movie tied up and unconscious. He is concerned and confused when he awake.

(This is an RIFC Affiliated Production)
