14 year old Joel Martinez will be making his first film thanks to the NeighborWorks Blackstone River Valley Art project, LTJFilms, and the RIFC. Joel is an from a low income community and is a participant in NBRV’s after school art program designed to give underprivileged youth the chance to do art projects that are normally outside of their reach. Joel work this summer on a film script and has done a few drafts and now has a completed script ready to shoot.
The RIFC’s Actor’s Lab has been gracious enough to make some room, and an audition/rehearsal has been scheduled for Tuesday November 6th at the Artist’s Exchange (50 Rolfe Square Cranston, RI 02910) promptly at 7pm (Do not be late). Anyone interested in auditioning for the film may come by and try their shot at any of the roles. The details of the characters and shoot dates are listed below. Please come by if you are interested. This will be a fun, no pressure audition, where different people will try out different parts in different ways. The Actor’s Lab will be using this as a way to help critique skills.

The Roles:
Bumble-G (Tentatively filled), Banknashi (Tentatively filled), Tec-9 and Red Street: 4 male gang members of an 8th grade gang, that are now in their 30’s and still acting like an 8th grade gang.
Store Owner: (Tentatively filled): A little old lady with a lot of attitude and a good broom.
Office Manager: (Tentatively filled) A friendly office manager with a very straight approach.
Cop: …A cop (Any one with a cop outfit may have a better chance.) J
