Cranston, RI – The Artists’ Exchange announces its May Gallery Opening, a display of works by Thomas Powers and Lisa Baccaire. The opening will take place Sunday, May 6, 2007 from 4-6 pm at the Artists’ Exchange on 50 Rolfe Street in Cranston.

Tom Powers, originally from Arlington, MA, will showcase his pastel works, primarily portraits and depictions of maritime subjects.

Lisa Baccaire, Rhode Island native, artist and Artists’ Exchange teacher, will display her mixed media paintings in which she incorporates graphite, charcoal, watercolor and acrylics in her exploration of subjects such as nudes and animals.

“The Artists’ Exchange is doing a wonderful job of bringing the excitement of New England art to Cranston. They have a welcoming atmosphere that allows well-known as well as up and coming artists to mix and mingle with collectors and art lovers,” says Celia Zanger, Windmill Studios owner and artist liaison.

Powers’ and Baccaire’s paintings will be on display through the month of May.

For additional information please contact Christina Mealey at 401.490.9475 or Celia Zanger at 401.461.3911.

This is a non-RIFC Production.
